I am based in Folkestone, Kent. I love to travel, but I am always drawn back to my hometown, a place I believe is truly special and a wonderful place to live.
I have had a varied working life, beginning with a paper round at the age of 11. From cleaning cars and working as a head waiter in a local restaurant, to spending many summers picking fruit (and enjoying it just a little too much), each role taught me something valuable.
At 18, I set up my own entertainment business and spent the next 10 years performing magic for a wide range of audiences. During this time, I gained my Actor’s Equity card and was fortunate enough to take on several small roles in television and film.
In my mid-twenties, I returned to university to train as a teacher. I went on to spend 25 years working in primary education, including 11 years as headteacher of a wonderful village school in the heart of the Kent countryside. These years shaped my leadership, my understanding of people, and my belief in the power of supportive environments.
Alongside teaching, I deepened my love of the outdoors by training as a Forest School practitioner. I created a rich, nurturing learning space for children, where they developed confidence, resilience and skills that, in my view, stay with them for life.
I live with my wife, our two children, a slightly crazy Cockapoo, and a tortoise who is far quicker than you might expect.
I am driven by a desire to help people become the best version of themselves and to unlock belief in their own needs, strengths and capabilities. I am a lifelong learner and received my Accredited Diploma in Transformative Coaching with Animas.
